Andre Drummond, Team USA Win Gold at FIBA World Cup

Despite missing several major NBA stars in its roster, Team USA won a second consecutive world championship at the FIBA World Cup.

The Americans faced Serbia in the gold medal game Sunday (September 14) in Madrid, Spain, adding another decisive victory during their road to gold. Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving led all scorers with 26 points. Houston's James Harden added 23 to help give the U.S. a 129-92 victory over Serbia.

Pistons big man Andre Drummond shot 3-3, notching six points, two rebounds and a block. Drummond summed up Team USA's FIBA trip nicely in the Vine clip below.

The Americans proved they can still be dominant without big names like LeBron James, 2014 NBA MVP Kevin Durant, Kevin Love and more. Drummond and the rest of his Team USA teammates will now focus on the upcoming NBA season.

The Pistons will face Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls in preseason action October 7 at the Palace of Auburn Hills. Tickets are on sale now at Pistons.com.
