Dumars Stepping Down

Pistons president Joe Dumars has reportedly agreed to step down and stay with the team in a non-basketball operations role. The Pistons have not made an official announcement. Dumars won titles as a player with Detroit in 1989 and 1990. He also hoisted the Larry O'Brien Trophy in 2004 from the front office.  The Pistons will end the regular season on Wednesday night in Oklahoma City. On Sunday, Detroit lost to Toronto 116-107 at The Palace. At 17-24, Detroit has finished at least five games below .500 at home in three of the last five seasons.
